Form #:PR-1850 This form is used by an interested party to ask the court to issue letters of special administration. Special administration is granted when a deceased person left no estate to be administered but there are things to be done on behalf of the deceased person, administration of the estate has been closed but something remains to be finished, the estate can be settled using summary procedures, it is necessary to do something to preserve the property of the estate before letters can be issued to a personal representative (executor or administrator), no administration of the estate has started but taxes must be paid, or the court believes that other circumstances require a special administrator.
